People’s Health Movement Tanzania Annual Report 2017

Despite the fact that PHM Tanzania has in the last few years been challenged in raising resources, in particular operational and administration resources, during May 2017 PHM Tanzania strengthened and expanded our engagement with more CSOs partners and the government toward achieving the Universal Health Coverage. We used opportunities that PHM Tanzania have face to face interactions during the Seventieth World Health Assembly (WHA70), meetings, seminars and workshop.

Peoples Health Movement Tanzania participation in the 3rd National Health Summit in November 2016

Peoples Health Movement Tanzania has confirmed its participation in the 3rd National Health Summit to be held in November 2016. With this year’s Theme: ‘Towards Universal Access to Health Care’ The role of Public and Private Sectors, the two day summit to be held from 14th – 15th November 2016 at Julius Nyerere International Conference Center. The summit will bring together over 500 health stakeholders across the country representing government institutions, non-government organizations and private sectors.

PHM Tanzania first steering committee meeting 20 October 2016

PHM Tanzania held its first steering committee meeting on the 20th of October 2016 in Dar es Salaam. The meeting focused on developing a memorandum of agreement to guide the work of PHM Tanzania. 2nd Annual Health Policy Dialogue-PHM Tanzania

Peoples Health Movement Tanzania (PHM Tanzania) conducted a day policy dialogue as part of its annual activities to discuss the current trend and development in addressing Health Rights for All in the country. This is the Second Annual Policy Dialogue to be conducted in the country since the organisation initiated the dialogue session last year. The discussion aimed to bring all health activists on board to discuss on current key health issues based on human rights approach (rights to Health, food and nutrition) and for promoting community accountability.
