6.2 Method of work of governing bodies

The Board at its 128th session requested the Secretariat to propose ways in which inconsistencies and overlaps in reporting requirements could be eliminated as well as how to facilitate more efficient and outcome-oriented reporting in the future. The report (EB129/5) reviews methods of work and makes proposals for change.

Recommendation 1: Reporting Establish standard reporting expectations. Maximum initial time frame of 3 bienniums and nominated sessions for review with no further reporting unless specified.

Recommendation 2: Financial implications of resolutions Executive board agenda items will to be submitted with consideration of financial implications. All items to take financial implications into account.

Recommendation 3: Proposing items to the Executive board meeting "Formal proposals relating to items of the agenda shall be introduced within 48 hours after the adoption of the agenda, unless the Board decides otherwise.
